Editing Comments

There are several edits you can make to comments:

• Amend information in text, cloud, or dimension elements.

• Change Properties on the Markup tab in Tools, Options.

• Revise text in the Description box.

• Change the shape and location of geometric elements.

• Delete comments.

NOTES:

• You can edit only your own comments.

• For parts and assemblies, you can edit only the active comment . For drawings, you can edit all active and inactive comments. To activate a comment, select it on the Markup tab.

To amend information in text, cloud, or dimension comments:

1. Double-click the cloud or text in the graphics area.

2. Edit the text in the text message box, then click .

To revise comment properties:

• Click Options on the Markup tab.

• Click Tools, Options and select the Markup tab.

• Right-click a comment in the Markup Comments tree and select Properties.

• Right-click a markup element in the graphics area and select Properties.

To revise the description:

1. On the Markup tab, select a comment.

2. Edit the text under Description. The edits to the description are saved automatically.

To change the shape and location of geometric elements:

1. Select the geometric element in the graphics area.

2. Drag the handles to edit the shape of the geometric element.

3. Drag the element (not the handles) to move the geometric element.

To delete comments:

• Select the comment on the Markup tab, then press Delete.

• Right-click the comment on the Markup tab and select Delete Comment.

• Right-click a markup element in the graphics area and select Delete Comment.
